Canon 70D overheated and wont't start up again

I was using my 70D to shoot a time lapse and the camera overheated, then I took it inside and took out the battery and let it cool down, after 5 hours I used a new charged battery to power it back up, but it wouldn't even get power, it never gave me an error code either, I don't know how to start it up anymore, my usual repair shop closed down so I don't know what I can do, I talked to Canon and they said they would just charge $200 to look at what's wrong with it, I am not paying that much for just looking at it.
