Speedometer isn't working correctly

As I was leaving my destination I noticed while I was driving that the speedometer wasn't working correctly, It was saying that I was doing over 90 mph but I was probably going 30/35 mph.

Would that be the speedometer sensor? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
