Why doesn't my Tab 2 connect to my PC

I wanted to update my tab 2 to 6.0 and install CyanogenMod, but any of my PCs detecta the tablet and there is an X on the battery icon while charging, I bought another cable but the same happens, could it be the 30 pin port?
