Repairing/replacing console AC adapter port

The AC adapter port on the console feels loose. Whenever I plug the power adapter I need to move it in different positions in order to power up the console. I was wondering if it's possible to just solder it correctly or replace it?

I found the part here but would it be just a matter of soldering it in place?

Thanks.

I would first try to solder it on again, should usually work.

So, I made something stupid: I was trying to solder the part. I made several attempts and I couldn't get it to work. Now, before I was able to play sometimes by adjusting and moving the power cord in different ways. So me being stupid I plugged the power cord and attempted to solder the part while it was connected to find the sweet spot and put the part in place... and I got a spark and now I can't make it work, doesn't matter how much I move the cable. How can I test if I damaged it?

Well, at least I know I didn't kill it. It still works but even after soldering in place it's still hard to make it work. Thanks.

Definitely try re-soldering it back in place first. Sometimes it can get loose and all it needs is some fresh solder to keep it in place.
