Phone doesn't vibrate or show any signs of life when plugged in.

I dropped my IPhone 6s and smashed the screen, a few days later the phone stopped charging and refused to show any signs of life. I opened the phone up and tried to see what was going on, however I am only a beginner and couldn't figure what was wrong with the phone. One of my friends mentioned that the Touch Ic chip may be broken, does anyone know how to determine if that is true?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Touch IC is for the touch screen functionality of the phone. The phone should still turn on and show display even if that was faulty.

Chances are that the battery could of been damaged from drop.

Agree. Probably not the touch IC. It is possible that the battery is bad or simply that the battery connector got knocked loose. Its also possible that one of the fuse/filters go knocked loose.

I you're under warranty or an insurance plan contact your provider. If not and you want to do a self repair, try first disconnecting the battery, do not reconnect, and disconnect the LCD cables from the board and reconnect them. Reconnect the battery, and plug the phone in. Try that.

This is a place where we try to help each other fix issues, not tell people to call Apple.
