My picture does not come on.

Powers on good. Sound works. Everything works but no picture. Worked good one day and next morning ; no picture. Tried 'menu' button and couldn't see anything. Screen has a dark dim blue background when TV is on, but hard to see unless lights are off.

@jmcc this "dark dim blue background" sound slike your backlight is on. that would mean that you do not get any video input. Remove all components like DVD etc. inputs and start by checking each one individually...

The menu screen does not display and that doesn't require any input. Does that mean anything?

The backlight is very very dim.

I have the exact same issue. TV powers on, sound is fine but no picture.

Menu screen will not appear either

Read the T-Con info and watched video. This looks to be the info I needed . Thank-you

But; I need to open back and replace board to be sure --- ( don't I ? ). How do I know if T-Con board is bad ?

John, yes you must power off and carefully remove the back to replace T con board. 1st link below, shows replacement procedure. 2nd link shows some testing of T con board(may differ from yours) did not find exact match showing testing of your board. I do not recommend you test the board as I beleive TV power is on when doing some of the test and if not done very carefully with expertise and knowledge, other damage or injury could occur. If you want board tested have a good TV repair Tech. have a look, diagnose and estimate repair.
