Cracked iPhone screen revealing internal metal (but still works fine)

Hi,

I dropped my iPhone 6 and the screen has smashed (mostly in the bottom 3rd).

The glass has been breaking off around the home button and I can see a bit of the internal metal parts surrounding the home button. The majority of the damage is just under where the LCD display appears to end when using the phone.

Everything still works fine and the touch ID also works.

Would this just need a simple screen replacement or is it something more complex?

Thanks

It would just be a screen replacement. The screen would replace the broken glass area as well as the LCD. Just be careful you don't damage the home button cable (which if touch ID is working, then you are currently fine).

I've replaced many screens where the glass is missing, or the screen is falling out etc, and it's always just needed a new screen.
