Failed Screen Replacement, back light not working.

My screen was broken so my friend and I replaced it with a new one. All went well, we didn't lose anything and didn't break anything (to our knowledge). We popped the screen back on and booted it up. When it turned on and plugged it in, we could hear the "I'm charging now" noise and we could see a bit of the screen in the right light. We googled it and tried all the suggestions which included:

Doing a soft/hard reset

Shutting it all the way off

Taking the entire screen off again and making sure everything is plugged in

We don't really know whats wrong....Any suggestions? Do we get the backlight system replaced? Please, we are kind of at a loss.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

It sounds like the backlight filter is blown. It is a small fuse located on the main board in the backlight circuit. You will need a board repair specialist with micro soldering skills to replace the filter.
