Motherboard seems to have crashed what to do next?

I have been told by any IT friend that my laptop may have a motherboard issue , can anyone tell me what I should do next, repair or buy a new one? Would the cost of repair be close to buying a new one?

Defiantly a motherboard issue and its under warranty so thanks for the comments.

Like Mike said its hard to say not knowing how old or what model laptop you have but finding a motherboard for your particular laptop can be a tricky and expensive thing . Before replacing it can you tell us what has lead your friend to think there is an issue with the motherboard . What symptoms are we dealing with

@andrew39 that will depend entirely on what model Toshiba this is and what the problem is. Toshiba is very secretive with any of their schematics and manuals. It is almost impossible to find schematics. Without those, a logic board repair is almost impossible. You are most likely better off replacing the motherboard.
