Why dvd won't open?
Put a new dvd in place and still won't open?

If the issue is an important dvd is stuck in it, use the manual override by putting a paperclip in the small hole usually close to the button. that will manually eject it. but also, have you checked the power cable to the DVD drive? Try using a different cable.

Deirdre Leban I am a bit confused by this. You installed a new DVD drive? Your DVD does not play? What computer is it? What OS are you using?Windows? Version? Give us more details so we can at least try to help you.
