iPhone 5c time issue (time doesn't change)

Hey hopping someone can help, I recently got a iphone 5c that was dead, I replaced the battery and the screen and i got it working again. The problem is the time doesn't set automatically even though the setting is on and when I lock the screen the time stops counting.

Can anyone help?

UPDATE

Hey so I have noticed that the time changes when the battery is charging but stops as soon as the battery is 100%. Could this be a battery issue?

My dear friend you need to turn on locations then plug in with itune time will be reset automatically if not then restore your device time and date will be ok if you still getting same problem then put compass ic . thats it job done

Hey so I tried what you said still didn't work although now the time works but only if I have the phone connected to my pc

Options

There is a crystal oscillator (Y2) on the board which can fail which can cause this problem. It's something which can be replaced. Requires micro soldering.

Funnily enough this issue I have only seen it happen on iPhone 5C the most common which is weird.

I have the exact same problem as you except that mine crashes my phone when I try to get into date and time
