Can I use the Xperia Z5 battery cover for my Z3?

I need to change the battery cover of my Z3 because it is broken.

Can I buy a Z5 cover, will it fit?

If you do replace your Sony Xperia Z3 rear / back cover glass, make sure to carefully extract the NFC sticker that is stuck onto the back cover.

No it won't fit Dennis. I'm fairly certain they are different sizes.

I can confirm this for sure. The camera and flashlight LED hole on the rear glass back cover will not be aligned.
