Water Damaged iPhone - Power Button, Messaging, Calling...all dead?

Hello,

So yesterday, my phone had been damaged by the rain (water damage) while running home and my phone kept going to the apple logo screen and then switches off, then restarts (over and over every second). It didn't make past the logo screen. A few hours later, everything seemed fine. However, I find out that my phone's power button isn't working anymore - like at all. The wifi connection got disconnected (I tried connecting it with the RIGHT password) and it still didn't work. I can't send messages since it keeps thinking I am typing a different letter when really I am touching on the right words, and the phone thinks I have a headphones on when I don't have the earbuds jacked on. Also, when I call, I can't hear (because it thinks I have headphones on). I don't know what to do anymore. Can anyone help? I had put uncooked rice and it's inside a pencil pouch (won't fit inside a ziploc).

ALSO, when I tried to charge, the device said the charger was not compatible with it.

I just placed in an order for an opening tool kit to see what's up.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Rice is not a solution for a wet phone. You have shorts on the logic board that can only be removed by microscopic inspection, ultrasonic cleaning, and micro soldering. Every time you attempt to turn it on or charge it you are making the damage worse. Find a shop that can perform the needed steps.
