Hi,
Have you verified that the mute option has not been selected?
Since you do not state the model number, have you ensured that the Audio output selection is for the TV's internal speakers and not for an external speaker option. Check in the Audio settings area of the TV's Menu.
If your TV has a headphones socket, check to see if there is audio there.
