The Magellan RoadMate 1440 is a portable GPS navigation unit with an LCD color touch screen. It was released in March 2009. It is identifiable by checking the model number listed on the label on the back of the device. It has an SD card slot on the top and a small USB connector on the opposite side. The device is only available in black.

Why is my device's screen dark?

My device is showing night mode screen, but it is daytime.

Options

You can put your device in day mode by navigating from the menu to Map Options, then to Night Mode, which can be toggled on or off depending on your preference.
