iPhone 6 Replaced Screen, Heating Up Fast

I replaced my the cracked screen on my iPhone 6. The screen turned out to be faulty so I tried to put the old screen back on the phone. Now the old screen doesn't work and the logic board gets hot pretty fast in the metal directly under the ribbon cables. When I plug the phone into my computer or the wall it vibrates but if I try to turn the phone on when its not plugged in it doesn't I know that the phone is on though because the logic board gets hot. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

Try re-seating the flex cables. They may be aligned incorrectly causing a short. Also when re-seating them make sure there is no dirt in them, and that they are not mushed.
