Well I can only speak from my experience. For some reason if I unplug the charger after I turn it on my tab won't recognize touch. Also if I power it up with the keyboard attached then take it off the touch doesn't work either. If you've tried all this, try using the keyboard to power down then power it up unattached. If this doesn't work it may even just be dirty. Or it may need to be replaced.

Hi Bob,

I'm sorry about your touch screen not working. Fortunately, there are a couple of things you can do to fix it.

Restarting your device is always a good place to start, but considering this was posted 10 months ago I'm assuming that has been tried already. If the problem still persists, you can perform a soft reset by holding the power button for ten seconds, at which point your device will power down. When you turn it back on, it will have completed a soft reset, which is good for clearing minor software glitches and freezes (which may be why your screen wasn't responding).

If your screen's unresponsiveness is a hardware problem, where the touch-screen itself is actually broken, you can purchase a new screen and replace it in about 30-45 minutes or so. The web page for your device says that it is being developed and added to now, so you can expect that a guide for replacing the screen will be coming out some time in the next week or so. The guides are normally very comprehensive and easy to follow, with pictures included!

I hope this helps, and good luck replacing your screen if it is indeed broken!

Best,

Aaron
