Why is my battery discharging overnight..? Camera is in off position,

My Sanyo VPC E1090 camera works just great,,,,except, I MUST remove the battery after use, recharge it and NOT put it back in the camera until I am ready to take pictures.

If I leave the battery in the camera, it is dead overnight. Leave it out of the camera, and the battery maintains charge for weeks ????

Hi,

Just a check. If you remove the battery do you lose the correct date and time in your camera? I ask because in some cameras the main battery keeps the date and time internal 'battery' (sometimes it is not a battery but a capacitor) charged. I'm wondering if this battery, is discharging your main battery (which it shouldn't). How old is your main battery? All batteries have a life. If you have a spare battery does it happen to it as well?
