Tried to repair front panel using instructions, display won't work?

My dad and I just tried to use the guide to repair the cracked screen on my iPhone 3GS. We did everything correctly (minus one screw) but now the phone turns on but doesn't display anything.

Anyone else have the same problem?

I am assuming you mean that you tried to replace the broken glass and digitizer right? Or you replaced the LCD as well? The glass is on top, the digitizer is under the glass glued on to it and the LCD is underneath that.

Make sure your LCD is properly connected to the logic board. Carefully push it down until it snaps into place. Then try holding down the sleep button and the home button at the same time for a few seconds.

Also if you didn't turn off the iphone before doing the repair you might of damaged the logic board. Or you might have damaged the LCD as well.
