Why isn't my volume working for homemade videos?
I just bought this phone had it for a month I love making videos of my son playing for memories. So long story short I can't hear when I make homemade videos but watching other videos or even Netflix it's no problem with the volume please help the store I got it from says there isnt anything they can do cause I didn't purchase a warranty.

Hi,
Don't know where you are but don't let the store fool you. You don't have to purchase a warranty - unless you want to extend the warranty period beyond the manufacturer's. Here is a link which states Alcatel's warranty terms. It's 12 months on the product (unless misused or damaged by the user), 6 months for the battery and if it has to be repaired then only 3 months on whatever part has been repaired, the rest of the phone has still got the remainder of the original warranty period..

You've only had it for a month so you've got a bit of time. Hang in for a few days, someone might comeback from this website with a fix. If nothing happens then contact an authorized Alcatel service centre about getting it fixed. No doubt you will need to provide proof of purchase (a sales invoice or if you have misplaced it a credit card statement which shows the purchase) simply because these show the date of purchase and that is from when the warranty period starts.

Hi,
Ran out of characters allowed. When I said contact an Alcatel customer service centre, I meant to add and ask about a repair under warranty or maybe even ask for technical advice they may be able to help with your problem. They should advise as to what you need to do. Here is a link to their support section. Scroll down to find your location. Hopefully this will help you if the Ifixit site can't http://alcatelonetouch.com/global-en/sup...
p.s. Thinking about it, the store probably wouldn't help because you didn't buy an extended warranty from them. This warranty is in addition to the one provided automatically by the manufacturer. You should always contact the manufacturer when dealing with warranty claims.
