So, people can't hear me on Facetime, but i can hear them. But when I have a phone call with someone, they can hear me just fine. Is it something wrong with my Facetime?

It may be that the microphone is bad. The 5C has two microphones one located at the bottom (used when making regular phone calls) and one up near the earpiece (used for facetime and speakerphone). First try putting the phone on speakerphone when making a call. If people are not able to hear you then you will most likely need to replace the microphone near the earpiece.
That microphone is located on the same flex cable as the front facing camera and proximity sensor.

However, if people are able to hear you while using speakerphone then I would try a factory reset. This can either be done either in the settings menu or by putting your phone into dfu mode and connecting it to a computer with itunes installed. I would recommend the second way as it is a more complete reset which installs a fresh version of the OS as opposed to using the files that already exist on the phone. But either way, be sure to back up your data as it will be wiped during the process.

no this was not help full because i have a iPad mini
I don't have a iPad, Im on Facebook using a small tablet with wifi and I'm trying to facetime someone. I can hear and see them but they can't HEAR me. What can I do?

Same thing happened to me. I found out that Facetime's audio setting somehow had gotten switched to "Soundflower 2 channel," instead of internal microphone. And this was despite the fact that in system preferences, my sound input was set to internal microphone.

Well i have the same problem and on most of these it is telling me to go to the system preferences but on my iPhone 6s Plus iOS 10 I don't have that option please help!

I just got my Se Saturday through ups and I FaceTime my friend and I could hear him but he couldn’t hear me it was breaking in and out but when I put headphones in he can hear me perfect I don’t know what the problem is

I hope you found an answer because I have not after weeks and multiple hours of trying answers i8t is still not resolved. My computer Geek Sqaud nehew has tried to talk me thru i8t with no sucess but he has Covid-19 and dannot come look for himself.
My iphone 7 has an issue but idk how to fix it. When im on ft the other person cant hear me without airpods its the same with regular calls

go to your settings and look up call audio routing and turn it to automatic. that should fix the problem

On google duo
audio routing does it, either on or off, if you have an internal issue where you can hear and see part of the time, your phone is re-routing some speakers incorrectly, so your silent mode or headphones comes on and off when you don’t want it to.

I m talking about my computer call for Dr visits. In this pandemic my one MD wants to talk on the computer but she cannot hear me and even though this worked before I cannot turn on my speaker now.
