Power light turns on, but nothing else works (Screen, Fan, etc)

Hi,

My Acer Aspire 5755 laptop had heating problem for a couple of years due to poor Fan. I used to have it on cool pad most of the time. But suddenly it stopped working. The power light turns on for some time, but nothing else works. HDD light is also off. How can I find the faulty component (CPU, motherboard, etc.) to replace?

I forgot to mention that it makes some noise (I think its from the speakers) every time I try to power it on.
