Why won't my screen stay stuck?

I replaced the screen on my iPad 4. I cleaned all the old adhesive off with alcohol and let it sit for awhile to make sure it was gone. The applied the screen and let it sit for about an hour then turned it on for a minute to make sure it worked. Then let it sit for another few hour. Both times I weighted it with a couple text books. And repeated it a few more times and every time it peals up. Does anyone have any advice?

I tried but it didn't help.

I would try heating the new screen to allow the adhesive to bond better.
