I can't send text messages

suddenly, I am having issues with sending text messages. also, I see that when I receive one, it comes back to me tripled. I use straighttalk and I have tried talking to them, but they aren't helpful. I have changed the SD card, but nothing. I thought maybe I may have a virus and have tried to reset my entire phone. What is wrong?
