Screen doesn't react and the wake/sleep button doesn't work

Helllo everyone,

yesterday my ipod 4th generation stopped reacting to any touch. I can't slide to unlock and if I double press the home button so I get the music controls (play/pause next and previous), I also can't get those to react.

I have seen this question on here more often, but the problem is that I can't reset my ipod because the sleep/wake button on top also doesn't work anymore.

I have tried restoring it in iTunes, but that didn't help. Does anyone have any idea?
