Earcup too silent- replacement doesn't help

Hi all,

My IPhone 6 got maybe a little water... After that i just hear a little during the calls.

Using the loudspeaker works fine. New software update done.

After Reading some comments i decided to change the earcup (original part). But i still have the same problem.. Anybody an idea what else can be wrong?

Thanks :)

If replacing the earpiece speaker didn't fix the issue, try replacing the flex cable for the front facing camera/proximity sensor. The gold contacts on the earpiece speaker make contact with that flex cable so if liquid got onto it there might be some corrosion or rust on those contacts. You could even try to clean those contacts on the flex cable with a small brush and some isopropyl alcohol (90% and above is recommended) to see if that will fix the issue before replacing the flex cable. Ive attached a pic so you can see the contacts Im referring to. The gold contacts are to the right of the front facing camera in the pic.
