My washer overflowed coming out the bottom of the washer and cannot duplicate the problem. When we stopped the washer it stopped the overflow. What could be the intermittent problem?

Joy, could have been caused by a kinked or loose hose on the water level pressure switch. It may also mean that your switch is starting to fail. Since we can not be quite sure what Kenmore 110.XXXXXXX number your washer is, check this video for a bit of an explanation. follow this video up to around 1:10" to see how to get to the switch
