Dropped my laptop, hard drive damaged.

I accidentally dropped my laptop and it now cannot access my operating system, won’t boot up etc etc. I am assuming my hard drive is damaged as there is a grinding kind of noise coming from it. What are my options? Can I just buy a replacement hard drive and replace it?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Patsy Rockett, yes you can but you will also need an OS to install as well as the drivers for your laptop. Your Toshiba may have come with some install disks, so you will need those. As in for what drive you need etc., that will depend on your model which you did not give us.

Replace your old hard drive with new hard drive. Then check it is running good or not. visit or contact your nearer laptop dealer to solve this problem. It is big issue and everyone don't have detail knowledge about this technical field. It best to take suggestion from laptop dealers or suppliers.
