Battery Door won't stay on

I wanted to know what I can do so my battery cover will stay on my PSP 3001...Presently I have a piece of duct tape over my battery cover to keep the battery door on....I took the duct tape off my battery door and it doesn't have a snap lever on the inside to keep the battery door cover on...I don't like having the duct tape on there.

Ok, mine started to fail after falling from a short distance, the cover went off and it seems that some spring that holds the battery on place fell somewhere. So it is not a battery problem but the spring thing. I have checked on a friend's psp and it has that spring. So bad news.

Hi Eugina, it just happened to me, is as if the battery is suddenly fat, i am a bit worried so until i find something on the internet i am not using it. If i find something useful, i will post here.
