Replaced DC-in Power Board, now MacBook Pro won't power up

Followed this guide to replace a burned out DC-in (magsafe) power board on my 2009 MacBook Pro. That seemed to go well, as now the charger indicates a solid (charging) orange light. But...

Now the computer won't start up. It's as if it has no power at all. No sound. No fans. Nothing. Can't figure out what I did wrong.

Answer this question I have this problem too

I have seen a MBP with one of the DC-in power board wires stuck between the case and the clip for the LCD cable causing a short, resulting in the same problem as you are seeing now.

It might be worthwhile to check if all the wires of the new board are free from the case.
