My PS3 six axis controller got wet and now won't turn on

My sister and I were playing call of duty online and she accidentally spilled soda over it and I took it apart and dried it and switched the battery's and tried the reset button but nothing happened

When you say "dried it" what exactly do you mean? Did you air dry it? Wipe it down?

Either way, it seems like the controller is fried. Soda has a nasty way of drying sticky and horrible so it probably settled somewhere you didn't see and shorted out. But more likely, it shorted as soon as that soda hit when it was powered on.
