Mac Pro Airport (WiFi) inquiry

I was wondering if I could put my MacBook (older white plastic model) into my Mac Pro desktop which does not have airport in it.

Don't see any way that you could do that. ;-{

Can you give us the last 4 numbers of your serial number so we can identify which Desktop system you have. Depending on what you have it maybe a simple fix.

Update

Open your system up and looking just under the second fan unit on the main logic board you should see a connector and a few cables held to the side. Here's a good image on what you should see (minus the AirPort card): AirPort & BT boards.

If its enmity you can put in an Airport Extreme Card P/N: 661-4060

Otherwise, you'll need to use an external USB WiFi adapter.
