washer won't stop filling with hot water

Our He3 washer won't stop filling with hot water, even when the cycle is over. We have to close the hot water valve for it to stop. We are figuring we need to replace the hot water inlet valve but thought we'd check if there was anything else that could be the problem. The last load we ran, where the problem appears to have begun, had an error, flashing F during the cycle but no number that either of us remember. Upon clearing that, the cycle continued. Later in the cycle, the SUD error came up but the cycle kept going on its own. The problem then was that hot water continued to flow thru the machine, no matter where it was in the cycle. If there is something other than a faulty inlet valve that could be causing the problem, we'd like to know so we can check on it and not put in a part that won't solve the issue.

zooper, the water inlet valves receive a control signal from the Central Control Unit to manage the temperature of incoming water. Water flow, or the quantity of water introduced throughout any cycle is monitored by a flowmeter and Central Control Unit. When the flowmeter registers a maximum of 10.5 gal.(40 L), and the Central Control Unit has not detected the pressure switch trip, the water valves will be shut off and an error code will show in the digital display. The flowmeter is also used to introduce additional water into the tub for higher water levels, based on cycle requirements." I'd run the diagnostics test and see what error code, if any, pops up. Let us know. So in your case it could be the water inlet valves or the CCU/Flowmeter. You can check the water inlet solenoids with an ohm meter to see if they are okay. Check the attached image for the testing points. Ultimately it sounds to me like the water inlet valves have failed.
