How do I pair my device with something via bluetooth?

I am having trouble getting my phone to connect to my car's bluetooth.

1. Bring up the menu by pressing OK

2. Select settings & tools

3. Select bluetooth

4. Select add new device

5. Use the soft keys to select settings

6. Select discovery mode

7. Select on

8. Wait for you phone to be registered on your car's bluetooth
