Why can't I hear anything after reassembling my phone?

Yesterday my iPhone back to life after being spilled with water. I found here the way to open and dry it and it finally turned on. Everthing was working well until I was called, and I couldn't hear anything, nevertheless, who called me was able to hear me. Do you know which is the cable that I may not assembled well?. I tested the camera, and it isn't working either. This was my first time opening and fixing (or trying to fix) my iPhone, so please, don't laugh at me :-D

What iPhone generation do you have ?

the 4 generations are all different and it would be great if you could provide that info - it simply makes it easier (not to write everything for 4 different models ;-) )

thanks for the info.

disassemble it again and check ribbon number 3 - thats the one for the earpiece.

you can use the logic board guide - but stop when you reach the connectors ;-)

I think I have an issue there, the little tab where the ribbon cable 3 is connected does not keep it fix. Not the white part, but the dark one is a little loose :-S

by

does the cable move freely when the tab is closed? if the cable stays in place - but the tab won't - maybe you could fixate it with a little piece of scotch tape? - in theory - this should prevent the tab from moving around and that way the earpiece should work (as i wrote - in theory ;-) )

by

I tried with the scotch tape, but it still not working :-(

by

too bad, can you see why the tab won't keep the cable in place ?

by

I think the little black tab is damaged because I looked very close at it in looks like being separated from the logic board, for a tiny space but I think that could be the issue :-(

if you don't hear anything - does cable 3 fit well or is it loose?

by

It moves even when I close the tab, so, I'll try what Markus suggested, I think it could work. If I have success I'll let you know :-)
