Ordered new screen it didn't come with a home button

My screen is cracked really bad but my home button is ok. When I replace my screen is there anyway I can reuse my old home button or do I have to get another one

Hi Dillon,

You can definitely use the old home button. Actually, I would recommend it since it is always better to use as much as possible of the old/original parts when doing a repair.

If you did not remove the old cracked screen, here's the guide. Watch out for steps 18-19, don't insert the guitar pick (or whatever thin non-sharp tool you may be using) too far in, as this is where the home button RIBBON is located, and you may rip it.

You can then remove the home button ribbon using this guide. Actually, I highly recommend reading through this guide before attempting to remove the outer glass panel, in order to know exactly where the home button ribbon is located and avoid ripping it.

Finally, you can re-apply double tape following this guide here.
