Internal SD-card Reader doesn't work. How can I repair it?

Block Image

Unfortunately, I have damaged the internal SD-card reader by pushing in a damaged SD-card with force.

It appears that the wire connections (to the SD-card) inside of it are torn/twisted. I have opened the Dell Vostro 3550 laptop already, and have seen that the reader is soldered to the motherboard.

Could I perhaps remove the reader's housing to fix the item?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Thank you for the image. If you remove the housing, you may not get your SD card seated properly. I'd try to find someone that can do microsoldering and replace it properly.

Of course you can fix it. For fixing it you need some specific solder device which sold wires by throwing hot air. Paste very small amount of soldering paste at there and use hot air solder. It will sold your breakage part or track.
