While charging iPod nano, using usual USB connector, iPod "screeched" & could not be turned off until I pushed both "MENU" & center button simultaneously. Now I cannot get ANYTHING from iPod. what to do?

november 2009 purchase date means it is still within the original warranty and can be replaced for free at any apple store or apple authorized retailer that does these types of replacements or you could just call apple 1800myapple and ask them what to do if you dont live near an apple store. i strongly recommend going to an apple store since they have the replacements in stock most of the time and most other methods of replacement take a while to get the replacement

How do you find that out? it was a gift to me...I don't know the specifics of the nano...so, at this point, how do I find that out? purchase date...nov.,2009 thanks
