Why does my NDS Lite doesn't start?

Every time i turn on my NDS Lite, the systems says that there is an error with the system date. I tried to press all the buttons but nothing seems to happen. I tried to change the dates but it still couldn't work. So what date, month and year should i put in order that my NDS Lite will be back as per normal? Please help, thanks:)
