MBP LogicBoard still worked after spill shortly, any fix?

I was given an old macbook pro from my sister. She said the apple employees said the logicboard was damage and needed to be replaced so she bought a macbook air. I turned the laptop on fine and it ran like nothing happened. One day it shutoff and the power button was unresponsive. It turned back on again a few months later and now is dead again. The battery is fine and the keyboard works. Does the logicboard need to be replaced?
