Battery doesn't charge after change

Hello,

I tried to follow the repair guide for the battery change but now I've encountered the typical problem that the iPod turns on when it's on the cable but can't charge and therefore can't start. So it is stuck on the charge screen of very low battery. Because I'm not very good at soldering it could be that a bad contact is a reason, but I'm not quite sure. Does someone know the reason and what I could against it?

Thanks in advance!

PS: Sorry for my bad english, I'm no native speaker and definitely out of practice.. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say ;)

Answer this question I have this problem too

So, after several days of trials and failures I finally found the answer by myself which in fact is very simple but also annoying: You may already know that the Ipod Touch 3G - 8GB is in fact an IPod Touch 2G. Therefore the components of this one do not fit any other version of the 3G which are the "real" Third Generation IPods (32 GB + 64 GB).

And this is also important for the battery, you can't use the battery of an IPod Touch 3G 8GB for the IPod Touch 3G 64 GB. I ordered a new battery and then maybe I'm able to fix my iPod finally.
