After installing 3.1.3, wifi grayed out

Last week I upgraded my iPod to 3.1.3 and from then on, I haven't been able to do anything with the wifi, the option is totally grayed out. I've tried most of the suggestions I've seen online, including resetting the network settings, reformatting, etc. although I haven't been brave enough to put it in the freezer. I've also noticed that since this started, the battery life doesn't last very long at all, at least half as short as it was before.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I never had the problem you mentioned - but maybe restoring the iPod would be a good idea - if that won't work - downgrade it to the last firmware version you've had

From what I've read on the issue, downgrading won't fix the specific problem that upgrading created (apparently it has something to do with faster wifi). I tried restoring, but it's still grayed out.

I had the same problem. and your screwed. I have searched the internet and have found no solution to the No wifi grayed out after updating.
