iPod Screen Won't Turn On, Screen Broken As Well?

Hello, this is my first post here on ifixit. My iPod has a broken screen on the top left corner and I can see the interior components.

I have connected the cable that is coming from the LCD to the iPod itself, and tried to turn on, but it doesn't turn on.

My Computer detects the iPod but there is nothing on the screen. Do I have to replace the LCD and the Digitizer?

This image will show a clear shot of what is wrong.

unfortunately you have to replace both the lcd and digitizer as they are glued together. the lcd cable is visible in the photo above, so it is possible that it may have been damaged by something.
