Why won't my Canon Powershot SX280 HS turn on?

Hello! My camera won't turn on. The camera uses a rechargeable battery, which I have checked to make sure is charged.

The lens is no dislodged either. I don't know what is possibly wrong. I haven't dropped it either. The camera just stopped working (it's also a new camera).
