Replaced digitizer, now it is dead.

I have a 300T that is now DOA. The touch screen stopped working, I opened it up, checked to and found that everything was properly connected. Next, I replaced the digitizer. The transplant went well, but the patient did not wake up. I charged the battery (blue light on), turned the on/off slider switch (next to the regular on switch) off and then on, and I pushed the little button on the side next to the digitizer cables a couple times, and tried to turn it on in the usual way several times. The only activity is a beep once in a while. Do I now own a 300T doorstop?
