UX32A display compatibility with FHD IPS UX32VD display?

I currently have a Zenbook UX32A-DB51. The only feature that I would want upgraded is the display to the UX32VD-DB71, FHD IPS, 1080P screen. ifixit has a tear down on the VD model and everything seems to be extremely similar/identical between the two models.

If I were to purchase a 1080p screen to swap into my current Zenbook, would it work properly or would they not be compatible? I know notebooks can be picky with compatible components.

I'm pretty sure that full HD ux32a display is marked as N133HSE-EA1

I now can now confirm UX32A compatibility with N133HSE-EA1 R.1 FHD LCD.

Installed it today, works fine.

Im about to do the same purchase. Upgrade to 1080p. I just want to find out if there has been any change to your user experience. Has the additional pixels put extra load on the CPU? Slowed it down at all? or is the performance roughly the same. And was the upgrade worth it? Does it look much better?

Jonathan,

for me it's totally worth it. CPU load is the same (I didn't notice any major changes). But, just to mention, I've installed an additional RAM (8 gb, 10 gb in total now) and I've got Intel SSD.

So, if You've got healthy eyes, and You don't afraid of small GUI, then try this upgrade :)

Thats great! Thanks! SSD is in the mail. Just the ram and screen to go.
