My iPhone won't connect through my computer?

I just replaced my battery using the iphone liberation kit. My phone seems to charge through the wall charger but not through my usb. The problem is my phone is showing me the ios 6 activation screen and it wants me to connect to iTunes. I am unable to do that and I have no way of knowing if the replacement battery was a success or if my phone is even working properly due to the fact that when plugged into my laptop, my phone will flash the apple logo for a few seconds and then it goes black. Help please!

sounds like you are having battery problems, double check your work. Also, charge the battery for a while on an AC charger.

Ah ok you were right about the connection. For some reason the instructions on replacing the battery don't mention that little metal piece needs to be pressed and snapped back into place. Mine was loose. I secured it and it seems to be working fine. Thanks for your help!

there you go, good job in getting it done :-)
