Only half of screen showing and very white.

I replaced the screen on an iPod that was newly restored. After resetting the LCD after replacing it, only half the screen showed picture and the other half was just black. The touch digitizer was working fine but half the screen wouldn't show. I took the screen off again and reconnected the LCD cable (not the digitizer cable), and now the whole screen is very white, half of the screen won't show anything and is just white, and the touch only works sometimes. I'm not sure what the issue is now. Has this happened to anyone before?

I've personally repairs about 500 iPod touch screens. Sounds like it may be a bad part. I have seen the screens show all white. Which usually just means the iPod got turned on by mistake during the repair and it needs hard reset to fire the new LCD properly.

If only part of LCD is working and Digitizer is spotty. I would say the part is the issue. Get a good quality part and try again.

Hope this helps!
