Engine hesitates and blows smoke for a few seconds,then repeats it.

I changed filter,oil and spark plug.Starts fine runs for 5-8 mins then hesitate loses power blows smoke then runs good again.It repeats that process. TROY BUILT RIDING MOWER(13AN77G766 17.5 eng(31C707603E1) 42in cut

So it never shuts down? It blows a puff of smoke, then it's back to normal?
