How can I download my content from Mac Formatted iPod to PC?

I am a songwriter, and record my songs, live or otherwise onto my Ipod via Alesis Pro Audio Equipment.

I own an older Ipod, but it still works beautifully, and integrates with my Alesis recording software.

I have thousands of hours of live shows, original songs, all mixed in with MP3's from my ex's old iTunes account, (I paid for all of the itunes items myself).

PROBLEM: Went to a bass players house when the iPod was new, and hooked up to his Mac computer in order to add his recorded bass tracks onto the iPod.

Now, months later, I decided to dump all of the recordings and organize them onto my PC, and when I plug the iPod in, it says "REFORMAT DEVICE?"

NOOOOOOOO!!!!

Other than buying a Mac, are there any other options I have that are EASY to do, in order to salvage my recordings, and the itunes songs purchased?

I need my music on my PC, and I need more space in my iPod!

Penni Lynne, you can not do this natively with your iPod. You will need some third party software. Try macdrive or xplay. I am sure there are plenty more, bu I used macdrive before and it worked for me. Select the free trial mode and see what you get. Also try Yamipod, it is freeware and may do what you need it to do. Hope this helps, good luck.
